Start collecting Sainsbury’s Active Kids vouchers

Sainsbury’s Active KidsSainsbury’s Active Kids 2008 is now underway so do start collecting vouchers from Sainsbury’s to give to Hamilton PSA.

The vouchers can be exchanged by schools and Scout/Guide groups for sports equipment and training. This year there are 400 new items of sports equipment in the catalogue, and schools and groups can now choose to use their vouchers to take young people to watch top sports stars at Rugby Union, netball or basketball matches.

From 14 February 2008 to 4 June 2008, every £10 you spend with Sainsbury’s will earn one voucher. You can earn vouchers at Sainsbury’s supermarkets, Locals, Centrals and petrol stations and when you shop online at Sainsbury’s. In addition you can earn a bonus voucher for every £10 spent on fresh fruit, salad and vegetables, and any of the hundreds of foods marked with the healthy ‘apple symbol’, such as milk, pasta, rice and fresh fish.

Last year a record 233 million Active Kids vouchers were redeemed. This resulted in schools, Guide and Scout groups sharing in £18 million worth of Active Kids equipment and experiences. That is an average of £630 per school or group.

Vouchers can be posted in the box outside the school office.
