Sign promoting 2009 Summer Fair

The Summer Fair is the biggest fundraising event of the year for the PSA, and we want this year’s to be the most successful ever.

To achieve this though we’re going to need some help. So we’re looking for volunteers to staff the stalls; sort out old toys, books, DVDs and tombola prizes; pot up plants; grow extra produce; and make jam and other goodies ready for donation next month.

If you can help please fill in the tear-off slip on the PSA Newsletters that we have been sending home for the past few weeks. Or contact us via this website.

Wildlife garden takes shape

wildlife garden in juniors' playground
Following the receipt of the Big Lottery Fund grant, work has proceeded rapidly on the wildlife garden in the junior playground.

A stag beetle larva has already been uncovered in the work and it has been placed safely in the garden.

We look forward to the garden starting to develop, and hope that you and your children will enjoy seeing the fruits of your donations and support.

Needless to say, there is more to come, with redevelopment of the whole of the playground border alongside Hamilton Road planned.

Annual General Meeting

Sunday, November 2nd, 2008
19 November 2008
7:30 pmto9:30 pm

All parents and staff are invited to attend this year’s Annual General Meeting on the evening of 19 November 2008. This is the time we get to allocate funds, talk about fundraising ideas for 2009, and elect new committee members.

If you’ve not been to a PSA meeting before, do come along. You’ll get to hear how the money raised over the past year will be allocated and hear of future plans.

After nearly four years both the PSA Chair, Kim Lane, and Secretary, Louise Notley, will be standing down. If you are interested in putting your name forward, or if you’d like more information about either role, then do contact Louise Notley on 01206 364695.

The AGM will be held in the lower infant hall, starting at 7.30pm.

[Junior playground equipment]
The PSA is funding new junior playground equipment, and work starts on it next week. It will be installed in the area where the amphitheatre used to be. If the weather is good, then the children should be able to start using the equipment after two weeks.

The School Council worked with the play equipment firm to decide upon the design of the area.
