Charity collection totals
Recent charity collections at Hamilton have raised the following:
RNLI: £31
Royal British Legion’s Poppy Appeal: £170.69
Colchester Hospital Charity (Children’s Ward) – the school’s Charity of the Year: £1,524.04
Thank you for your contributions to these collections. The school’s Charity of the Year for 2011/12 is Barnardos.
Thanks for the Tesco vouchers
Thank you to all those who collected and donated Tesco for Schools vouchers this year. Over 16,000 were donated, and the school has used them to purchase some new Easi-speak microphones and a Lego Mindstorms Robot Kit.
We’ll let you know when the next voucher collecting period starts.
Record sum raised at Quiz Night
Congratulations to Sarah & Jeremy Warren, Richard & Karen Butt, Chris & Sonali Watson, Andrew Thompson, Julie Cooper and Tuulia Staff for organising the Quiz Night last month. As well as a very enjoyable evening, the event raised £918.50, a record amount for the quiz.

£2,794 raised for our charity of the year
Congratulations and thank you to all parents, staff and pupils who helped raise £2,794.41 for Little Haven’s Children’s Hospice, the school’s chosen charity for the year.

Their next fundraising event takes place on 24 October, a Moonlight Fright Night sponsored walk.
Summer Fair success
Thank you to everyone who helped make this year’s Summer Fair a success. The good weather returned just in time and lots of stalls reported a very busy time. We’ll let you know the total raised as soon as we know it.
