The disco raised £550. Well done to all those who helped.

As a bonus, a parent's employer has donated a further £500 in matched funding.

Thank you too to the local businesses who donated the many prizes: Red Lion Books, Tozo Hobbies and Toys, Braintree Cinema, Odeon Cinema, Lexden Golf Club, Sam Lord Hairdressers, and Lingard Games.

Thank you also to Sunset Limousince hire for the loan of their limousine on the night of the disco.

Come on! I've just checked the easyfundraising statistics and I'm the only one to have taken up this offer. It really is an easy way to raise £8 for the PSA.

Thank you to everyone who collected these vouchers. In September 2008 Miss Rickwood, the ICT Co-ordinator, announced that the school had used them to buy new software, digital cameras, and 'Logit' boxes which sense and record changes in temperature and light.

In addition the school has bought two visualisers which magnify objects and project them onto the whiteboard. Children's work, small objects or science experiments can now be shared with the whole class using these tools.

So, thank you once again.

The Summer Ball raised £3,780! So well done to Adele Mercier, Lisa Greenidge, Julie Duley and Julia Finbow for organising this enjoyable and successful event.

Thank you too to Mark Chatterton who acted as auctioneer, and thank you too to all the parents who supported the event by buying tickets and/or sponsorship.
