Congratulations to Sarah & Jeremy Warren, Richard & Karen Butt, Chris & Sonali Watson, Andrew Thompson, Julie Cooper and Tuulia Staff for organising the Quiz Night last month. As well as a very enjoyable evening, the event raised £918.50, a record amount for the quiz.
The winning team were Neil & Quiz Team Hamilton (who also won the prize for best quiz team name), so they will be running the next quiz in October.

The PSA will once again be running an Easter Chocolate Raffle, and the draw will take place on Friday 8 April after school.
All raffle tickets cost £1 each, and can be bought every day this week before and after school next week. Each ticket will give the child a chance to win the Easter raffle, and it will entitle the child to a small Easter treat after school 8 April.
Meanwhile, any chocolate donations would be greatly appreciated: please hand in to the school office. Volunteers to help with this event would also be appreciated: contact Diana in the playground.

Please encourage your children in the week beginning 28 March to donate a board game or a puzzle (complete please) which will then be sold for 50p/£1 straight after school on Friday 1 April in the sidestrip between the 2 playgrounds.
Why not look through your cupboards and playrooms this weekend with a view to donating next week? Donations can be left either outside the school office or in the shelter in the junior playground. Thank you

The PSA needs some help. Many of you turn up to support and enjoy the events, which is wonderful, as that helps raise the funds. But we need more. We need more parents and staff to get involved and help put on these events.
We know: it’s hard to find the time, and you’re not sure how to help. Will it take up all your spare time? No! Hamilton is the largest primary school in Colchester with over 400 pupils. That’s a lot of parents and carers, so there is no need for just a few people to do all the work.
Unfortunately, after some very good years, we’re close to that point. We had just three people turn up to the last PSA meeting. Not good.
So, if you were just waiting to be asked, now is the time. We’re friendly, you see us in the playground and at events, and we’re not expecting you to do all the work. Just come along and help at an event or two. Or if you’re particularly creative, suggest an event that you could put on based on your skills or experience.

This year’s quiz night takes place on Friday 25 March, and bookings are now open. Tables cost just £25 between the team (we’ve held the price at the same level for another year), and you can field up to six in a team.
There will of course be a cash bar and some nibbles so please don’t bring your own booze.
You can download the booking form now. Please post completed forms in the PSA box by the school office. Tables are available on a first-come first-served basis.
